Small business TV launched in Australia

Small business owners now have their own dedicated IPTV resource, thanks to the launch of www.ImBoss.tv, an online TV channel dedicated to small business which is available free and on-demand.

Television production company Small Screen Entertainment are behind Australia’s first television channel for small business owners and managers, on the Web.

The Federal Minister for Small Business & Tourism, Fran Bailey, officially declared the portal open with a special message of support for the channel and the nation’s estimated 1.2 million small businesses.

“To operate successfully a business needs a market, the right product and entrepreneurial flair. So I’m right behind this initiative to provide small business in Australia with a platform for business news and educational information.”

ImBoss.tv is, according to Small Screen Entertainment, a destination for SMEs (small to medium sized enterprises) to be “informed, inspired and educated” with new content every week, delivered on-demand across nine specific content channels.

Jake Challenor, managing editor of ImBoss.tv, said, “Our launch reflects the growth in broadband connections by SMEs and the increase in owner managers seeking and embracing advice and information that’s going to lead them to a successful business.”

Each month over thirty leading experts and commentators from around Australia will visit the ImBoss.tv studio to share their advice, expertise and experiences with viewers.

The nine content channels include; News & Information, Money & Wealth, Sales & Marketing, Franchising, Smart Business, Education & Coaching, Technology & Online, Legal Advice and Business Horoscopes.

Updated daily from July, business owners and managers will also be able to access articles under the same categories and download podcasts of I’m Boss Radio, which is syndicated across fifty Macquarie Regional Radioworks stations.
